Universe survives the Good Friday tornado

The Good Friday tornado that struck the St. Louis region Friday evening passed within three quarters of a mile of our facility in Bridgeton, MO.  Click here for a link to the path the tornado took:  www.crh.noaa.gov/lsx/

This tornado was rated as an EF4 and did considerable damage along its path.

Thankfully, our facility did not suffer any damage and there was no loss of life in the region.  Everyone responded to the forecast warnings and sirens and took cover.

 

Universe Corporation makes holiday donation to Sunshine Ministries

For the second year in a row, Universe Corporation has donated $4,500 to Sunshine Ministries to aid in their efforts to make the holiday season joyous for those in need.

These are challenging times and we at Universe Corporation are blessed to be affliated with wonderful and supportive customers, vendors, and business partners.  As such, we have made this donation in appreciation of those relationships.

The Universe® 7000 Trespa Meteon system receives NFPA-285 Equivalency

Universe Corporation is pleased to announce that a version of the Universe® 7000 Trespa Meteon cladding system has received a NFPA 285 multi-story fire test equivalency rating and, therefore, can be used on high rise construction applications.

Universe Corporation completes the Lumiere Place Casino and Hotel project

Universe Corporation completed the Lumiere Place Casino located on the Mississippi river front in downtown St. Louis.

The scope of work included over 85,000 square feet of the Universe® 2000R rainscreen system using Alpolic® metal composite materials from Mitsubishi Chemical FP America, Inc.  58,000 of a custom Sandstone Beige was used to clad the hotel tower and 27,000 of a custom Bronze was used to clad two geometrically complex entry canopies at the casino and hotel.

The general contractor was McCarthy.  The architect was Hellmuth, Obata, and Kassabaum.  Refer to the project page for more information.
