The system is progressively installed and the installer shall plan accordingly. The Universe® 8000 is comprised of a single layer of horizontal hanger extrusions. The panels are hung on the extrusions by bracket clips that are preattached to the panels. Two adjustable brackets at the head of the panel are used to finalize the setting position. The system is available in two standard cavity depths: 1 5/8" and 2 1/4". These dimensions represent the face of sheathing to back of panel. The 1 5/8" depth Universe® 8000 utilizes less aluminum material and is the most economical concealed bracket system. The 2 1/4" depth Universe® 8050 is the same depth as the TS210 system and is a cost effective alternative to the TS210 since it utilizes a single layer of extrusions. Currently,the Universe® 8000 has not been tested for the NFPA 285 multi-story fire test and, therefore, should not be used on applications 40' above grade or higher. |
